Elopement Lake Como with an Editorial Soul
When Savannah and Tyler reached out to us from Utah, we instantly felt their vision. They weren’t looking for a grand production. Instead, they imagined something quiet, meaningful, and deeply personal. A wedding that felt like them. Surrounded by still waters, timeless scenery, and only the people who matter most, they chose the romantic beauty of Lake Como for their destination wedding. What unfolded was one of the most emotionally rich and aesthetically stunning celebrations we’ve had the honor to witness.
Why couples choose an elopement on Lake Como
Lake Como has a unique kind of magic (as well as Lake Maggiore). The golden light that falls across the water. The quiet elegance of its villas. The mountains embracing the lake like a protective cocoon. It’s a place that naturally lends itself to intimate weddings and elopements, where every detail can breathe.
For couples like Savannah and Tyler, an elopement Lake Como offers the chance to focus entirely on their connection. No distractions. Just love, beauty, and the kind of moments that make your heart pause.
A wedding with only a few guests means more space for emotion
This wasn’t your typical wedding. There were no hundreds of chairs, no rush, no noise. Just a few handpicked loved ones. Parents. Siblings. Best friends. People who know your heart inside and out. And because of that, every single moment felt amplified. Every glance, every word, every tear. It reminded me a lot of Isabella and Franky’s romantic elopement in Amalfi!
Their ceremony took place in a private lakeside villa, embraced by sunlight and lush greenery. It was simple, heartfelt, and honest: the kind of vows that leave your voice trembling and your chest full.
Last year, Sascha and Laura also got married with very few guests at the Domus Laeta in Giungano, and once again, I can confirm that weddings like this are perhaps even more emotional than those with hundreds and hundreds of people.

A blend of documentary and editorial photography on Lake Como
As editorial Lake Como photographers, we aim to create images that are both honest and beautifully composed. For Savannah and Tyler, we followed a documentary approach, capturing moments as they unfolded but always with an eye for the cinematic.
From the calm of the bridal morning, where Savannah wrote her vows in a sunlit room overlooking the lake, to the intimate celebration on a vintage wooden boat at sunset, the entire day was a flow of light, emotions, and textures.
Every image tells its own story, yet together they form something much more: a visual narrative that feels like a memory you’ve already lived.
Thinking of planning your own intimate destination wedding Lake Como or an editorial elopement in Italy?
Keep your guest list short and your priorities clear. Focus on experiences, light, and connection. Surround yourself with vendors who understand your vision and who will treat your story as something truly precious.
And most importantly: don’t rush. Let things unfold. The beauty of a day like Savannah and Tyler’s lies in the in-between, the pauses, the laughter, the way the lake sparkles at just the right moment.
If this is the kind of celebration you’re dreaming of, reach out. We’d love to help you create something honest, beautiful, and deeply yours on the shores of Lake Como.
